Pelican Grill was everything we expected for our anniversary lunch! The view on the patio was stunning, Aaron our server and the entire staff was excellent and professional and the food was delicious. The crab cake was better than the last one we had in Beverly Hills, the supreme flatbread had well balanced ingredients and the made to order risotto was phenomenal. For drinks we had the Peach & Love which is a blend of Prosecco, moscato, peach and pomegranate, it was refreshing and not too sweet. The chef sent out a dessert for our anniversary and we also tried the Tableside Tiramisu with Kahlua soaked ladyfingers. It was an absolute feast & we will be back soon!

We came to Pelican Grill for our anniversary, and it was a wonderful experience! The sunset view was absolutely stunning, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. They were so sweet and welcoming, and we even got a complimentary anniversary cake, which was such a nice touch. We ordered the Peach & Love cocktail, caviar & fries, oysters, and the ribeye steak. Everything was delicious, except for the steak, which was a bit too salty and slightly overcooked. But honestly, it didn't take away from the overall amazing experience. The ambiance, service, and food made it a memorable evening. We'll definitely be back!

The more I tell people about this beautiful resort and location, the more I love this restaurant. What service, what a view, what a fabulous lobster salad. Totally unique. I love this place. I wish it was closer to Las Vegas or I was closer to it.

We had an amazing dinner at Pelican Grille. The stunning views, the beautiful decor, and the friendly and professional staff compliment the fabulous food. We had the steak tartar and octopus to start, and both were top-notch. We shared the cioppino as an entree, which was enough for us portion wise. They also have a great wine selection. I definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant when visiting the Newport Beach area.

Pelican grill is such a beautiful restaurant with impeccable service. They are very accommodating. I brought my son who had food allergies and they were so kind and made something for him that wasn't even on the menu. The food was delicious. Highly recommend this place. If you sit outside you have a beautiful view of the ocean which is breathtaking.

My wife came here to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and, honestly, if it wasn't for a little miscommunication at the start of the night, I would probably give them 5 stars. We had a reservation that we showed up about 15-20 minutes early to. We told the hostess that we would be at the bar & easily found a little table to sit at. One of the hostesses came by about 5 or so minutes later & asked if we wanted to just eat our meal there. My wife and I both said no and she said ok and walked away. About 5 or so minutes past our reservation, I walked over to the front desk to see if there was any update and the hostess looked confused & said that the other hostess informed her that we had said we were going to eat at the bar. Because of that, they gave up our table & now we would have to wait for the next table to open up. I was annoyed, but not angry. And ultimately we only had to wait another 5 or so minutes longer. Now, did we end up getting the best table when we were seated? No. Did we get a horrible one? No to that either (nor did I specifically request any table so who knows. Maybe we would've had a similar table had we gotten our original one). Once we got seated, it was smooth sailing from then on out. Our waiter was friendly and helpful, but not pushy or constantly checking up on us. It was just the right amount of service. We decided to essentially order appetizers, salads, and a main course for each of us, but with the intent on sharing so they provided extra plates for us without any complaint. That also let us try a wide variety of what they had on the menu and we loved every single thing. I guess if I had to be nitpicky, they described the crab cake as 'jumbo' and it was only slightly larger than a regular one. Had we know that, we probably would've ordered two. But, like I said, that's getting nitpicky. I don't know if we will rush back to Pelican Hill as it was certainly a treat for us, but I would absolutely recommend it. We had a great time. Also, they definitely serve great drinks! I applaud the bartender(s). They're not skimping on the alcohol. That's for sure. I would say, if possible, try to get a reservation for dinner during sunset. The view is wonderful and watching the sun set over the horizon was absolutely wonderful (even if we had to watch it from the bar window instead of our seat like I had hoped.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pelican Hills Grill in Newport Beach, and once again it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The interior is beautifully designed, with elegant decor that creates a cozy yet sophisticated ambiance. The view of the coastline from the outside dining area is absolutely stunning, making it the perfect spot for a memorable meal. The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was beyond delicious. We started with half a dozen of the raw Oysters and Crab Cake, both were fresh and flavorful. For the main course, I had their wood fire baked Pizza, which was very yummy. The BF had the Risotto which was packed with flavors. It was slightly undercooked but our server, Fletcher, was quick to make things right by offering to bring us a new one. The presentation of each dish was impeccable. The service from Fletcher was outstanding. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience, and it really showed. Overall, Pelican Hills Grill is a true gem in Newport Beach. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal with a view, this place is a must-visit. We came here for my birthday celebration and it was the absolutely perfect place to go and celebrate! It's a beautiful location that overlooks the ocean. Loved that we didn't have to do valet and finding parking was very manageable. The staff was amazing, from the front desk to the cook and then to the amazing Loreto who made the dining so much enjoyable. He was very kind and made sure we got everything that we needed. He checked up on us in addition to the other staff who checked on our water. My one year old pointed out to loreto when we were taking a picture and smiled! He was very attentive to the babies too! The chairs are so comfortable! The food was delicious! The best part- the fluffiest bread I've ever had that you start with. With a pretzel flavor. Everyone talked about the bread. The lobster roll was delicious! It has a strong flavor of onions. Although I'm not a fan of onions it was still enjoyable! We brought our own cake and they brought it out and served it to us on their beautiful plates! The food could be amazing but without the right staff it can taint your experience. In this case, both was amazing!!!! They treated us with respect and didn't have that "I'm better than you attitude" Thank you!! And especially to Loreto! Definitely recommend

I love the view & sitting outside on the patio. This restaurant is by the Pelican hills golf course, and it's one of the best high end dining experiences . Their 1-pound rib eye is good for 2 people . Other highlights are their burger and the Chilean seabass. I also loved their crabcake, it was mostly giant chunks of crab with the right amount of seasoning. This place is amazing. Every detail is perfectly thought out. From the atmosphere, the nature, the music, the outdoor heating, architecture etc. The service was amazing. Our waitress was attentive and sweet. It's a bit pricey for lunch, but it's what you gotta pay for the view .
